In 1:15 p.m. in Conference Room 12, there will be an informal multi-stakeholder consultation entitled “Making finance work for a sustainable world in 2019 and beyond” convened by the President of the Economic and Social Council.

In Geneva, at 2:00 p.m. in Press Room 1 the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) will hold a briefing on the trends in International Trade in Creative Industries – Creative Economy Outlook. The speaker will be Pamela Coke-Hamilton, UNCTAD, Director, Division on International Trade.

Tuesday, 15 January

At 9:00 a.m. in Conference Room 9, there will be an event entitled “Future-Ready Skills: Helping Workers to Thrive in A Time of Rapid Technological Change” co-organized by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT).

At 10:00 a.m. in the General Assembly Hall, the 66th plenary meeting will take place.

Also at 10:00 a.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber the Group of 77 will have a ceremonial meeting to mark the formal handover of the chairmanship of the Group of 77 from the Arab Republic of Egypt to the State of Palestine.

At 2:00 p.m. in Conference Room 9, there will be an optional workshop entitled “Future-Ready Skills: Helping Workers to Thrive in A Time of Rapid Technological Change” (o-organized by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT).

At 3:00 p.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber, there will be a briefing by the President of the General Assembly on the priorities for 2019.

Wednesday, 16 January

In the morning, the Security Council will be briefed and hold consultations on the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA).

At 10:00 a.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber, there will be a briefing by the Secretary-General on the priorities for 2019.

Thursday, 17 January

In the morning, the Security Council will be briefed on the 1591 Committee concerning the Sudan.

In the afternoon, there will be a Troop Contributing Country meeting on the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP).

In Geneva, at 2:30 p.m. in Press Room 1 there will be a Presentation of the World Economic Situation and Prospects 2019 published by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the UN Regional Commissions and UNCTAD. The speakers will be Richard Kozul-Wright, Director, Division on Globalization and Development Strategies, UNCTAD and José Palacin, Senior Economic Affairs Officer, Office of the Executive Secretary, UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).

In the morning, the Security Council will be briefed and hold consultations on the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).

In Geneva, at 2:30 p.m. in Press Room 1, there will be a presentation of the latest Global Investment Trends Monitor. The speaker will be James Zhan, UNCTAD, Director, Division on Investment and Enterprise.
