Nuove opportunità di lavoro con lo UN Development Operations Coordination Office

5 nov - UN General Assembly resolution 72/279 of 1 June 2018 established the mandate for a repositioned United Nations development system in the context of the quadrennial comprehensive policy review of operational activities for development of the UN system. The section on a reinvigorated Resident Coordinator system includes the endorsement of “the transformation of the Development Operations Coordination Office [DOCO] to assume managerial and oversight functions of the resident coordinator system under the leadership of an Assistant Secretary-General and under the collective ownership of the members of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group, as a stand-alone coordination office within the Secretariat, reporting to the Chair of the Group…”

We are pleased to advise that work is well advanced for a transformed DOCO. A number of new positions in DOCO have been created and will continue to be posted throughout the month of November - both at UN Headquarters in New York and in regional hubs. They range in grade from senior director posts through the professional grades and support staff. The positions include: policy, programme and technical advisors; finance and resource mobilization; strategic planning; partnerships; business operations; and, communications and knowledge management. Job requirements – education, experience and language skills – are specific to each position and are included in the job openings.
