In Geneva, at 11:00 a.m. in Room III, the World Health Organization (WHO) will give an update on Ebola operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The speaker will be Dr. Peter Salama, WHO Deputy Director-General for Emergency Preparedness and Response.
Tuesday, 14 August
In Geneva, at 2:00 p.m. in Press Room 1, the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Yemen will hold a press briefing on the latest developments in Yemen. The speaker will be H.E. Dr. Ali Majawar, Ambassador, Permanent Representative.
Wednesday, 15 August
In the morning, the Security Council will hold consultations on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). 
Thursday, 16 August
In Geneva, the annual observance of World Humanitarian Day (19 August) will take place at 4 p.m. in the Human Rights and Alliance of Civilizations Room (Room XX). This year’s special commemoration will gather survivors and family members of victims of the attacks in a solemn ceremony to remember those who paid the utmost sacrifice in line of duty. Friday, 17 August
At 10:30 a.m. the Secretary-General will attend the opening of a multimedia exhibit, “Surviving Terrorism: Victims’ Voices” at the Visitors’ Lobby, Exhibition Hall. The exhibit commemorates the first International Day of Victims of Terrorism (observed on 23 August). The launch of the exhibit is co-organized by the Permanent Missions of Afghanistan, Belgium, Iraq, Nigeria, and the United States, along with the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) and the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (UNCTED).
