12 giu - The 2018 Young Professionals Programme (YPP) is accepting applications until 9 August 2018. Eligible staff members in the General Service and related categories are invited to apply.

The eligibility criteria to assess G to P and G to N is summarized below and defined in Administrative Instruction ST/AI/2012/2/Rev.1:

G to P applicants

  • Have completed five years of continuous service in the Secretariat at the time they apply for the examination
  • Hold a UN Secretariat appointment valid until 15 June 2019 (or whose appointment is expected to be extended until then). For the contract extension template, please click here.
  • Have a rating of at least “successfully meets performance expectations” in their last two performance assessment periods
  • Are fluent in either English or French
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant exam subject or meets the minimum educational criterion set out in the Administrative Instruction ST/AI/2012/2/Rev.1 (section 2.7 or 3.5)

G to N applicants

  • National of one of the 65 participating countries
  • 32 years old or younger by the end of this year
  • Hold a UN Secretariat appointment valid until 15 June 2019 (or whose appointment is expected to be extended until then). For the contract extension template, please click here.
  • Have a rating of at least “successfully meets performance expectations” in their last two performance assessment periods
  • Are fluent in either English or French
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant exam subject or meets the minimum educational criterion set out in the Administrative Instruction ST/AI/2012/2/Rev.1 (section 2.7 or 3.5)

The Exam

The 2018 examinations will be administered using an online testing platform. In due time, staff will be provided with details of the information sessions being organized by the Office of Human Resources Management on the online testing platform.
