Green Week Conference 2014: circular economy – saving resources, creating jobs

From June 03, 2014 until June 03, 2014

The 2014 edition of Green Week, the biggest annual conference on European environment policy, will take place from 3 to 5 June at The Egg Conference Centre, Rue Bara, in Brussels.
The theme will be CircularEconomy, Resource Efficiency & Waste.

The two day conference will be preceded by a New Environmentalism Summit taking place on 3 June. UNEP Executive Director Mr Achim Steiner will be contributing his personal views on the New Environmentalism as described by journalist and moderator of the event Mr James Murray.

Like in previous years, high level representatives from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), UNEP-hosted International Resource Panel (IRP) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation(UNIDO) are taking part in several of the sessions and side-events.

Together with the United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC), they will also be manning a joint United Nations information stand open to the public on all three days between 9.15 and 18.00.
Six finalists from the Think.Eat.Save poster competition organized by UNRIC and the Nordic Council will further be on display throughout the conference centre.
