Elyx is the first ‘digital ambassador’ for the United Nations (UN) and the creation of renowned French artist YAK. Transcending boundaries, Elyx has no race, sex, nationality, or audible voice. Elyx engages the world with curiosity and good humour and shares his journey through photos. Thus, Elyx is a universal character that can be understood by all everywhere. Drawn in a very simple style, Elyx still expresses a great number of different expressions and shares them on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
For nearly a year, Elyx has been helping the UN highlight international observances and had to meet UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon at the UN70 celebration in San Francisco this past June.
On 15 August, Elyx began an exciting 70-day (virtual) trip around the world to shine light on the UN’s work and build momentum for our 70th anniversary celebrations. Elyx’s journey will end on 24 October 2015 at UN Headquarters in New York City.
You can follow Elyx on trip with those Hashtags #UN70 and #Elyx70Days

Human Rights Day - #rights365
On 10 December every year, Human Rights Day commemorates the date on which the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), proclaiming its principles as the “common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations.”
To mark this year's observance we've partnered with YAK to produce a UDHR booklet as seen by #Elyx.
