Local authorities in Dnipro joined forces with the @EUDelegationUA and @UNDP to renovate one of the city’s air raid shelters, making it safer, more comfortable & accessible for all, in a project costing $105,000. The “Wings of Ukraine” school in Znamianka, Kirovohrad region, welcomes 800+ students back to in-person learning!
UNICEF rehabilitated the school with @eu_echo support. It now has a well-equipped shelter so children can continue learning safely during air raid alarms.
Access to safe water remains a challenge in the regions of Kherson and Mykolaiv because of shelling and the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam. With support from @eu_echo and @USAIDSavesLives, UNICEF has provided 530,000 liters of water to more than 17,000 people in these areas.
