The general public and interested stakeholders are invited to provide their feedback on the Strategic Environmental Assessment Report and draft Operational Programme of the Cross-Border Cooperation within the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument – Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2007–2013 (ENPI CBC MED).
The ENPI CBC MED Programme 2007–2013 provides the framework for the implementation of cross border and cooperation activities in the context of the European Neighbourhood Policy, involving EU Member States and Partner Countries.
The general objective of the Programme is to contribute towards promoting the sustainable and harmonious cooperation process of the Mediterranean Basin by dealing with the common issues and enhancing its endogenous potential. The ENPI CBC MED Programme 2007-2013 is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and by the financial allocations under the Heading 4 of the EC budget, and has a total budget of € 171 million for the period 2007-2013.
According to Article 6 of Directive 2001/42/EC as transposed by LN418/2005 and with Article 11 of the Council Regulation (EC) No 1083/2006 of 11 July 2006 the programme and its accompanying environmental report shall be made available for public consultation to designated environmental authorities and to the general public.
