This site presents the official data, definitions, methodologies and sources for more than 60 indicators to measure progress towards the Millennium Development Goals. The data and analyses are the product of the work of the Inter-agency and Expert Group (IAEG) on MDG Indicators, coordinated by the United Nations Statistics Division.
MDG Monitor – Tracking the Millennium Development Goals
The MDG Monitor is designed as a one-stop-shop for information on progress towards the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), globally and at the country level. It is intended as a tool for policymakers, development practitioners, journalists, students and others interested in learning about the Goals and tracking progress toward them.
End poverty by 2015 – Millennium Campaign
“End poverty by 2015. This is the historic promise 189 world leaders made at the United Nations Millennium Summit in 2000 when they signed the Millennium Declaration and agreed to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).”
This website provides information about the campaign in general and at the country level. Also included is resource material and information on how to take action.
“The World We Want 2015” Platform
Citizens and stakeholders worldwide are invited to participate in the World We Want platform. The interactive post-2015 platform provides a space for citizens to contribute their voices to the global consultations on the post-2015 development process. What kind of world do you want? Join the global conversation today!
The UN and partners have teamed up to put in place a global survey, called MY World, where citizens worldwide can share with the UN, and in particular the Secretary-General’s High-level Panel, the development issues that most impact their lives. MY World complements the World We Want 2015 platform and acts as the public entry point to the post-2015 development process. Voting is currently online and offline throughout the world. Results will feed into the High-level Panel's report to the Secretary-General. Share your vote for a better world.
