Conflicts continue to emerge around the world. During the aftermath of the Arab Awakening, protests for change started in Syria and recent developments in North Africa have added another conflict to the international community’s agenda. To address those and other conflict-related issues, UNA Wales and Cardiff University are organizing a roundtable discussion on Tuesday 5 February. During the event, entitled “The ‘Responsibility to Protect’ and the Arab Spring”, participants will discuss and analyze humanitarian crises facing the world today.
During the event several speakers, including Dr. Edwin Egede, Marc Pollentine and Dr. Grant Dawson will give their views on the uprisings and conflict developments around the world. The event will take place in the Glamorgan Building Council Chamber, Cathays Park and will be hosted by Dr Peter Sutch.
