International Video Challenge for Youth (UNESCO)

Youth aged 18 to 24 were invited to use their creativity and express a personal vision of cultural diversity through a short video based on the UNESCO 2001 Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity.



connect4climateIn the run-up to the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 17) in Durban this December, the Connect4Climate Photo/Video Competition invited young people from the ages of 13 to 30 to submit photos and videos relating to climate change.


Poetry for Peace Contest

poetryOn the occasion of the International Day of Peace (21 Sep) a social media driven 'Poetry for Peace' contest was held from 15 September to 14 October, 2011, to share messages of peace.

For four weeks, a social media Poetry for Peace contest invited the world to hear the living testimonies of atomic bomb survivors, called HIBAKUSHA, and respond to their stories in verse. People were also encouraged to "like" the poems that most touched them.


UNiTE T-Shirt Design Competition

uniteshirtAt the UNiTE campaign they believe in using imagination and creativity to build a future without violence.

Men aged between 18 to 25 could help the campaign by designing their own UNiTE campaign t-shirt!


Young Innovators Competition - ITU Telecom World

ituYoung Innovators were asked to put to use their knowledge and skills to make the world a better place?

The winning ideas would have the chance to pitch to world leaders and win seed funding.
