UNDP and UNODC would like to encourage young people's engagement in the anti-corruption campaign. This competition is open for all young people between the ages of 15 and 25 years. UNDP and UNODC, in particular, encourage young women to participate in this competition.

22nd International Children’s Painting Competition

22-painting-competitionThe International Children’s Painting Competition on the Environment is organized every year by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Japan-based Foundation for Global Peace and Environment (FGPE), Bayer and Nikon Corporation.

It has been held since 1991 and has received more than 3 million entries from children (6 - 14) in over 150 countries. The theme of the 22nd painting competition will be “Water: The Source of Life”.

"Bob the Bunny's Cartoon Competition" - Volvo Adventure (UNEP)

bob newsIf you are too young to enter the Volvo Adventure Competition, 'Bob the Bunny's competition' is aimed at young adventurers aged between 10 to 12 years old (at the competition opening - July 1st 2012).

To enter, you form a team of 1 to 3 members, identify a local environmental issue and create an A4 cartoon strip illustrating the issue and actions that you might take to solve it.

Forests for People: UN International Short Film Contest

1feb-comps-forestsForests for People is a short film contest that invites everyone, in every part of the world, to create and share a personal film about their own relationship to the forest. How it inspires you. Shelters you. Nurtures you. Contributes to your life, or even makes life possible.

After the contest ends on 1 February 2013, an international jury will select 15 semi-finalist and five finalists. The five finalists will be awarded at the United Nations Forum on Forests meeting in Istanbul.
