The next European Road Safety Day will be held in Nicosia (Cyprus) on 25 July. The conference is being organized by the European Commission, the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union (Ministry of Communications and Works) and the Cyprus Youth Organisation for Road Safety, REACTION.
The event will focus on the 'Active Involvement of Youth in Road Safety' as its primary theme and will offer a range of informational and interactive presentations, workshops and debates to youth delegates from across Europe.
Representatives of youth groups and road safety officials from all EU countries and neighbouring regions will participate. Organisations and personalities with an active role in road safety for young people are also invited.

On 11 May 2011, the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020 was launched in more than 100 countries, with one goal: to prevent five million road traffic deaths globally by 2020.
