<< Back to Live Windows Project
This series of Live Windows for World Environment Day were produced by students from Ecole de Communication Visuelle (ECV), Aix-en-Provence, and, Escola Superior de Disseny (IED), Barcelona. They were screened in Milan and Barcelona.
World Environment Day is a day for people from all walks of life to come together to ensure a cleaner, greener and brighter outlook for themselves and future generations.
Handtree is a video produced by Fabrica resident Gastón Lisak, a 22-year-old designer from Barcelona, for World Environment Day and the Live Windows project.
“The power to change the world lies in people’s hands. The hand stands for the energy to fight for a better world, to look for new ways to get to one’s goals. The hands holding one another symbolize that working harmonically together for a common goal can lead to better and unexpected results – a single branch can become a gorgeous tree. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know the person you are holding the hand with, what matters is the goal beyond. Diversities in language, religion or race are all flattened and people are united in the feelings and the aim for progress they all share” Gastón told us.
