Brussels (Belgium), 20 June 2013 – As the target date to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) fast approaches in 2015, global leaders and citizens are engaged in dialogue and critical reflection on what has been achieved and what comes next. Work to create a new development framework for the period after 2015 is being undertaken through a truly open and inclusive process.
The unprecedented global conversation is drawing on the needs, experience and expertise of people around the world. In up to 100 countries, groups of stakeholders, with the support of the UN, have held debates on what must be included in the future global development agenda.
