The UN in Pictures - 70 Years

UNEARTH Exhibition - 70 years of history 

from 13th October 2015 - 12th December 2015

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the United Nations, the UN Department of Public Information and the Gabarron Foundation have created an exhibition called “UNEARTH” which features some of the most powerful photographs in the Organization’s vast iconic archives. A host of UN officials, goodwill ambassadors, intellectuals, artists, journalists and historians have delved into the United Nations archive in order to present the audience with the past, present and future of this unique and vital institution.

From 13-16 July, countries will gather at the third International Conference on Financing for Development in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The Conference will result in an intergovernmentally negotiated and agreed outcome, which should constitute an important contribution to and support the implementation of the post-2015 development agenda.

Award Ceremony Comic and Cartoon Competition "Gender Equality: Picture It", 8 July

UN Women together with the European Commission, the Belgian Development Cooperation, the UN Regional Information Centre (UNRIC), and the Centre for Fine Arts (BOZAR) has the pleasure to invite you to the award ceremony of the Comic and Cartoon Competition “Gender Equality: Picture It” which was open to artists and art students residing in the EU and between 18-28 years old. In the presence of the winning artists, we will also display the winning comics and cartoons as well as the finalists of the competition.  The award ceremony will be followed by a reception.
