Panel discussion on Food Security and beyond 2015, Brussels, 17 Octobe

caritasEuropa“ Free Humanity from Hunger ! How to Integrate the Right to Food in the Post-2015 Development Framework ”

Eradicating hunger is the first of the eight Millennium Development Goals to be achieved by 2015. Official reports from UN agencies display encouraging projections towards the attainment of this objective in the overall developing world. However, many countries remain far from reaching this target, and much progress made has been eroded by the recent global food price and economic crises. Dying of hunger in our world of plenty is a scandal and the denial of the most basic human right: the Right to Food!

The panel is coorganised by Caritas Europa, Caritas International Belgium, CIDSE and CYINDEP during the European Development Days.
