[Cancelled] Press Conference with Ms. Amina Mohammed

In her capacity as the Secretary-General’s Special Advisor on the Post-2015 Agenda, Amina Mohammed has been one of the main brokers in the ongoing negotiations for the world’s future framework on sustainable development. The objective of the press conference is for Ms Mohammed to debrief journalists about the latest developments surrounding the Post-2015 deliberations which will consist of three upcoming milestones: the Financing for Development Conference which will take place in Addis (13-16 July), the SDG Summit during the General Assembly in New York (25-27 September), and the COP21 Conference in Paris later this year (2-13 December). With regard to the summits in Addis and New York, Ms Mohammed will in particular shed more light on the recent release of the zero drafts accompanying the Financing for Development Conference and the SDG Summit, and will speak to how these might feed into the expected outcome of the COP21 Conference.

Conference on Social Protection in the post-2015 UN Agenda

socialprotectionpost2015In the context of the importance given by Belgium to social protection in the post-2015 UN negotiations, the Belgian Federal Public Service Social Security will organise on 27 April 2015, in cooperation with the International Labour Organization, a conference on the theme "Social Protection in the Post-2015 Agenda". Moderated by Ms Jacki Davis , the conference will offer a high-level exchange between representatives from both developing and developed countries, international organizations, academic experts, social partners and civil society organizations.




Conference organised by LINKS (Dialogue, Analysis and Research) and the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation (ICYF-DC), under the auspices of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC).
