edd12logoEurope's premier forum on international affairs and development cooperation, the European Development Days 2012 (EDD12), will take place on 16-17 October. This year's theme is 'Supporting inclusive and sustainable growth for human development'.

Organised by the European Commission and the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, it aims to give a voice to Europe's development community, representing a valuable opportunity to share ideas, best practices, the latest innovations, and information on programmes improving the impact and effectiveness of international aid.

The Forum's informality breeds thought-provoking and persuasive exchanges. Political leaders and world-renowned authorities on development have used this Forum as a springboard for their ideas

EDD12 will focus on supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth in the developing world. Achieving the Millennium Development Goals and implementing the far-reaching priorities laid out in the EU's Agenda for Change go hand in hand with the aim of fostering sustainable growth.
