On World Telecommunication and Information Society Day the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is hosting a live Facebook chat on Thursday 17 May at 11 AM Bonn time (GMT + 2:00) with former UN Volunteer, Ewa Wojkowska, now Co-Founder and COO of Kopernik.
Kopernik is an online marketplace of innovative technologies designed for the developing world. Kopernik connects communities in need with life-changing technology and developers, with the support of donors. http://kopernik.info
Ewa, a former UN Volunteer, will be available to chat about her experience as a volunteer and how it inspired the work she is doing today. In 2011 she was recognized as one of Advance's 50 emerging women leaders. Her colleagues include Toshi Nakamura (former UNDP JPO), Co-founder and CEO of Kopernik and Jordi Tablada (former UN Volunteer), Software Engineer for Kopernik. Toshi was selected as World Economic Forum's Young Global Leader in 2012.
The chat will be hosted on the UNV Facebook page:
